Reg and Sue Ryan have been breeding Australian Stock horses for over 40 years, their original stud was called Bundarra and after a prolonged pause from breeding they formed Coolidowns in 1999 with a small group of quality broodmares which has now grown considerably and they now stand 3 stallions at stud. Reg was one of the original stock horse classifiers for the southern end of NSW and founded the Illawarra sub branch of the society in the early 70’s.

They are fortunate to be able to concentrate on the showing side of the competition, successfully competing at Royal and National shows up and down the eastern coast, with prominent polocrosse family the Mathies and the Cotterill’s in campdrafting campaigning Coolidowns horses at an elite level.

Breeding on average 12 foals a year with the emphasis on showing they are able to fulfill just about any ones requirements for a quality stock horse.
